  1. 1

Be/Feel Creative. Minecraft is a sandbox game in which you can do anything you want. Build a massive tower, a beautiful city, create houses for your pets, design a redstone contraption, build a roller coaster across dimensions, and much more. The game has many things to offer, and the best you can do is play with them!

  2. 2

Explore, discover, adventure! Minecraft has literally a infinite world, with over 60 biomes. All of them are filled with different blocks, monsters, animals, structures and villages. The best of minecraft is to go on an adventure! You can attack an Ocean Monument or a Woodland Mansion, find all types of villages, fight bosses like the Ender Dragon and The Wither, and much more! Every world is a world, and an adventure will never be the same.

  3. 3

Watch minecraft videos. Minecraft is a universe of many worlds, with endless possibilities. On YouTube, there are tons of content on tutorials, adventure series, animations, funny videos, and much more. By watching other players have fun with the game, you don't just get to know it better, but also may be more excited to try it yourself.

  4. 4

Get to know the controls. The controls might be difficult to handle for some people, but you can always change them! If you want to look around, you need to move your mouse around. If you wish to destroy blocks, hold left mouse button until the block breaks. To place a block, click the right mouse button. You can interact with some blocks by pressing the right mouse button without a placeable block in your hand.

  5. 5

Get some mods and/or texture packs. These can help enhance your experience in Minecraft by changing textures or certain aspects of gameplay. Mods can add dinosaurs, wands, better dungeons, mythical creatures and basically anything to the game. There are even mods for purple dirt!

    • You can find both on the Minecraft forums and Planet Minecraft.
  6. 6

Find your most suitable settings. If you wish to avoid enemies and have the most peaceful experience in Minecraft, you could turn your difficulty to peaceful. If you're not interested in surviving, or you want to test (Redstone) creations before you build it in your survival world, you could always start a creative world.

  7. 7

Play multiplayer. This can give you several new modes of gameplay such as economy and hunger games. You can look on Planet Minecraft or Minecraft-servers for servers to play on.

  8. 8

Play over a LAN. This allows you to play with friends over your own WiFi including if you have mods.

  • Question

It's hard for me to be creative, I always feel that my house isn't good enough. What do I do?

    Community Answer

Don't worry yourself! As a perfectionist and a creative player, I sometimes feel like my house isn't good enough. I have a few methods, you can try them out to see which is best for you. 1: Remember you can always redecorate your home. When I (rarely) go into Survival mode I always make sure to start in creative to get necessary items. 2: If you're the destructive type, and you feel like ruining stuff will help you calm down, be my guest! You can break everything and leave it in ruins, blow up the whole thing, spawn a bunch of monsters inside, make it not function properly (eg. getting tie of the door, no windows, etc.), make it a school for zombies, etc. 3: Believe in yourself.

  • Question

How do I install a mod? I already tried in v.forge 1.10.2 but it doesn't open the game. It says it gave up trying to load. What do I do to fix this?

    Wooduco

If none of the mod-loaders work, try the Technic launcher (search it in Google). The Technic launcher has modpacks made by many people, some are just singular mods, some have 200 mods, and some are just empty forge versions where you can put mods in yourself.

  • Question

How do you enjoy Minecraft if you lost your best gear?

    AmmaBae

If you're really annoyed, go on creative-turn host options on, but if you don't want to do that, make a new world. This will make you feel like you didn't deserve the armour as the world is different.

  • Question

How do I make an end portal in Minecraft Pocket Edition?

    Community Answer

In survival mode, it is impossible to create an end portal without the use of cheat codes. In creative mode, however, you can. You simply make a 3x3 square of portal blocks, and then break the corners (optional). Make sure the tabs on the blocks are facing inward. Place ender eyes on the top of each block, then you are good to go!

  • Question

Every time I play any type of game on my Xbox 360, it says to reconnect the controller, but it's connected. What's wrong and how do I fix it?

    Community Answer

If you have both controllers on when you turn on the Xbox, and then turn one off, it will repeatedly say to reconnect your controller.

  • Question

Why can't I make an End Portal?

    Rahmonjorge

    Rahmonjorge

    Community Answer

The End Portal consists of End Portal Frames, which can't be crafted in Survival mode. You have to find them naturally generated on Strongholds.

  • Question

I don't have any minecoins! What do I do?

    Anonymous_7138

    Anonymous_7138

    Community Answer

You don't need minecoins to enjoy Minecraft. Just do the other steps, play with others, go onto free servers (the hive, lifeboat, cubecraft, etc). Minecoins are just used to get templates, skins, and (minecraft) packs.

  • Question

The free online version doesn't exactly work in the same way as regular Minecraft. What do I do?

    CrunchyOrange

    CrunchyOrange

    Community Answer

You're only using the demo, which has no any online play, survival-only, only one specific seed (the way a world is randomized), and each world only lasts 5 in-game days. (About 1 and a half hours of game play.)

  • Question

If you put glass on top of something, will the undead burn?

    SunPuppy

    SunPuppy

    Community Answer

Glass is a transparent block. So yes, if you place undead mobs under a glass roof, they will burn.

  • Question

I really like Minecraft, and need it as a source of relaxation. But sometimes I play too much and forget about other things. What do I do? I've deleted Minecraft (and downloaded it) 8 times now.

    Seasalt25

Try to set reminders or alarms on your phone or computer to remind you to take breaks and do things like drink water, eat food, sleep, etc. You could also ask your friends, family, or other loved ones to remind you as well.

  • If you do get bored with Minecraft, stop playing it for a few weeks. After taking a break like that, you won't believe you ever got bored with Minecraft!

  • Try downloading an adventure map or a parkour course. These are puzzles or buildings people made for you to play on!

  • You can get tamed animals like dogs, cats, and horses. They are cute and fun. Unfortunately, they tend to die a lot, especially dogs.
